Vocabulary ;

Vocabulary Terms to know: Creative Commons, intellectual property, copyright, public domain, freeware, shareware, open source, attribution, commercial use, derivative, share-alike, firewall, virus, hacking, piracy, malware, phishing, identity theft, data back-ups, cloud, cookies (as pertaining to computers and Internet search), and filesharing.

* Freeware- software that is free of charge.
* shareware- Software that is available free of charge and often distributed informally for evaluation, after which a fee may be requested for continued use.
* open source- Denoting software for which the original source code is made freely available and may be redistributed with or without modification
* commercial use- A commercial use is any retail, service or office use listed in Use Groups 5 through 16, or allowed by special permit.
* derivative- something that is based as another source.
* piracy- The unauthorized use or reproduction of another's work
* malware- Software that is intended to damage or disable computers and computer systems.
* phishing-The activity of defrauding an online account holder of financial information by posing as a legitimate company.
* data-backups- The back up of system, application, program and/or production files to media that can be stored both on and/or offsite.
* filesharing- the practice of distributing or providing access to digitally stored information, such as computer programs, multi-media (audio, video), documents, or electronic books.
