Emerging Technologies

You can infer that the makers of the Facebook timeline invented it because they wanted to save money. Now that the timeline is added to mostly everyone's Facebook, the "Like" button is being used more and it's much more easier to navigate the amounts of information that each person has on his/her timeline. You can also infer that they made the Timeline is made to be easier for people to use.

What surprised me the most is that it stated that the Facebook timeline can tell you exactly where you are if you're connected with your phone. When it said something about buying a car and you can update that to your Facebook status, or as a picture, the article said that it could tell the exact things about the car. Such as, the year, model, make, and the type.

The possibilities for this is that if the patterns of the Timeline stay true, the capitols total expense allocation is more likely to be devoted to servers and storage devices which I thought was pretty good.

Back in 2009, the "emerging technologies" that are still being used now today is a liquid battery and software-defined networking.

Something that I had to offer is that, when I had a Facebook the timeline wasn't in my view. It was still the normal Facebook. Personally, I liked that better. Timeline is pretty tricky to use and it literally posts everything on your wall so anyone that is your friend can see what exactly you're doing, which is really weird, partially the reason why I deleted it. Once you get used to the new timeline, you'll still enjoy Facebook just as much as you did before, trust me. But in my view, I honestly don't like the timeline.
